It’s about writing …

Yesterday was the final day of my 8 week Spring workshop series in Brewery Lane Theatre. Each Saturday morning writers had gathered in the tearoom to work with me on new writing, to carefully read and respond to each other’s manuscripts and in the process learn a lot about writing. So yesterday we celebrated all that creativity and writing energy with a ‘Sending-off Party’. We read excerpts from work we intend to send out and then symbolically let a balloon off into the wide blue sky over Brewery Lane Theatre with everyone’s name attached.

It's about writing ...

The eight weeks were about writing but also about more than writing – it was also about becoming part of a community of writers, about creative support, about friendships.

To honour that we had a potluck lunch at the end of the workshop and everyone brought the most amazing food to share.

It's about writing

It's about writing

It's about writing

It's about writing

Sharing writing, sharing food – it’s about writing but it’s always about much more than writing …
